Parish Council Meeting Cancelled

The extraordinary meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow (Tuesday 24th March) has been cancelled following advice from Government and NALC’s advice issued on 20th March.
Although no alternative advice has been issued regarding how Parish Councils can make any legal decisions in the absence of full Council meetings, NALC have advised that these exceptional times are calling for exceptional measures.
As it is urgent that the Council resolves whether to delegate authority of power to the Clerk so that the Council can continue to function, the Council has opted to vote remotely on agenda items set for the meeting scheduled tomorrow. This includes:
- delegating authority to the Clerk to make decisions on behalf of the Council where such a decision cannot be reasonably deferred and must be made in order to comply with a commercial or statutory deadline.
