Welcome to Sutton Cheney Parish Council's Website
Located within rural Leicestershire, Sutton Cheney Parish Council forms the lowest tier of local government and have responsibility for delivering a number of public services to the villages of Dadlington, Sutton Cheney and Shenton. We also represent the views and concerns of local residents to other public bodies including Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Leicestershire County Council and the Leicestershire Police & Crime Commissioner.
There are currently 401 electors living within the Parish covering an area of approximately 7 square miles. The Council comprises of 7 local Councillors who are elected to represent the 3 wards of Dadlington, Shenton and Sutton Cheney. Each are locally based and are passionate about making the Parish a great place to live, work and play.

Community Governance Review
Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council are in the draft recommendations stage of the community governance review
During May and June, we prepared draft recommendations for the following parishes from the comments provided to us in our initial consultation stage of our community governance review:
- Bagworth & Thornton
- Stoke Golding
- Sutton Cheney
On 12 July, Council agreed to consult on the draft recommendations.
